What is it all about?
This group program opens new opportunities for kids to participate in a groundbreaking robotic experience. This program provides an opportunity to develop and refine decision-making and socialization skills, all while making friends. Participants will work hands on with robotic LEGO in interactive building activities.
Who is it for?
It is intended for youth with a disability, ages six to 14, who are interested in science, technology, engineering and/or math (STEM). Participants must be able to safely and successfully participate in a structured two-hour large group program. Participants must have an accessible computer and/or a speech-generating device. No experience required.
Eligibility
- Participants must have already identified a way of accessing a computer and/or their speech generating device. This may require an appointment with our Assistive Technology Specialist.
- Participants must be interested and able to safely and successfully participate in a structured 2-hour large group program.
- Children must be the appropriate age to participate in the program or be turning that age during the program. Children participating on a FLL Jr. Team must meet the age requirements to participate in the program.
A family may be required to provide their own 1:1 support before their spot is confirmed.
