Family swim in the pool

Updated: Spring 2023

As the Family Swim program operates within the hospital at Holland Bloorview, we continue to follow health and safety measures. As such, the following changes have been made to our Spring schedule:

  • Masking is a requirement throughout the hospital (in the pool changerooms and on deck)
  • Holland Bloorview is moving to a passive screening. If you are experiencing ANY symptoms (no matter the illness), have had an exposure to COVID or are pending a COVID swab please do not come to the pool.
  • Please identify yourself as pool users when you enter the building.

This is a recreational swim time for individuals who have a disability (only) and their families - an opportunity to laugh, splash and have fun together. In order to qualify for “Family Swim”, at least one person in attendance must be under 18 yrs. old. Passes will not be accepted at this time, you must register and pay in advance. Drop ins are not accepted.  Adults must register for our “Quiet Swim” program.

Swimmers may arrive 10 minutes prior to the swim. You will be required to go through a screening before entry into the building. Whenever possible, please continue to arrive with your bathing suit on under your clothing. If you feel unwell, please withdraw from the swim before it starts, we will be happy to credit your account for next time.
