Early concussion care program
The Early Concussion Care Program is accepting new referrals during the COVID-19 pandemic. Please note that all appointments with our team will be completed virtually until further notice.
This outpatient program provides concussion services to children and youth (21 years and under) within 4 weeks of injury. Our team of physicians, nurse practitioners, and allied health professionals utilize a holistic and individualized approach to supporting children and youth recovering from concussion. This program provides physical, cognitive, and psychosocial assessments in combination with clinical expertise in concussion to support symptom management, return-to-school recommendations, and to facilitate safe return-to-sport and leisure participation. This program is partially OHIP funded, and services with our allied health professionals may be covered by additional health insurance.

Persistent concussion services
The Persistent Symptoms Concussion Clinic is accepting new referrals during the COVID-19 pandemic. Referrals will be placed on a waitlist in priority sequence until we can begin seeing new clients again.
For children and youth (18 years and under) with concussion symptoms that continue for greater than 4 weeks after injury, and who continue to have difficulty participating in school and physical activity, a referral may be made to outpatient persistent concussion services. Depending on a child or youth's needs, appointments may be with a physician, a neuropsychologist, an occupational therapist, a physiotherapist, and/or a social worker. Services provided by this clinical team are covered by OHIP.
