
Allyson Whyte Nowak
Allyson Whyte Nowak practices intellectual property and related litigation at Norton Rose Fulbright Canada LLP. She has extensive experience litigating in the Federal Court and Ontario Superior Court of Justice in high stakes litigation including infringement, impeachment, damages and passing off actions related to patents and trademarks in the manufacturing, pharmaceutical, medical devices, toys, telecommunications and financial services industries. Allyson provides strategic litigation and intellectual property advice in connection with complex litigation drawing on her significant trial and appellate experience, including before the Supreme Court of Canada.
Allyson first starting volunteering at Holland Bloorview in 2009 as a Community Representative on the Research, Teaching & Learning Committee at Holland Bloorview Research Institute (BRI). She was also a member of the Commercialization Advisory Council (November 2017 – June 2019) before being appointed as a member of the Board of Directors in June 2019. Allyson is the current chair of the Business and Audit Committee and Treasurer of Holland Bloorview and Co-Chair of the 2022-2023 Strategic Planning Committee.
