Bird's eye view book

This interactive session will include readings from Sue's new book, Birds Eye View: Stories of a Life Lived in Heathcare on topics including perspectives on having a child with a disability, the importance of disclosing diagnosis well and how simple kindnesses can help families heal.

We will encourage audience members to share experiences and curiosities when it comes to delivering client- and family-centered  care as well as reflections and ideas about building strong relationships with families rooted in our shared humanity.

CBT is a therapy proven to make positive changes by teaching practical skills and strategies to help manage mental health. CBT is centered around thoughts, emotions and behaviors and participants work to develop coping tools and enhance resiliency.

This workshop will be facilitated by clinicians from the Centre for Addiction for Mental Health (CAMH).
