A little about you:

Canada First Academy (CFA) for Soccer Excellence is a Toronto-based soccer academy for recreational and elite player training. We favour a long-term, player-centric approach. Our team of professionally certified coaches leads year-round, European-style training that’s tailored to a child's developmental stage and skill level.

How did you give?

The CFA Soccer for Kids event is now going into its fifth year and to date, has raised over $15,000 for Holland Bloorview and hopes to add another $4,000 this year. Canada First Academy's 5th annual Soccer for Kids will take place Sunday, September 9, 2018 at Monarch Park Stadium in Toronto. This event includes a friendly four-on-four soccer tournament to support kids with disabilities. Visit www.hollandbloorview.ca/CFAsoccerforkids to learn more!

Why Holland Bloorview?

A son of one of the families in CFA has received support from Holland Bloorview and introduced us to this amazing hospital. This young man loves soccer and it’s a pleasure to talk to him and see his passion for the game. Through this family, we learned how significant the services of Holland Bloorview are for the children and their families in their day to day life. We took a tour of the hospital and were impressed by the facility and staff.

What do you want your donation to do?

We want to help children to live life as happily as possible and support them in overcoming their challenges in their daily activities.

You love Holland Bloorview because: I think it’s mostly their approach. The children receive support to live as independently as possible and are not treated as patients. The facility is modern and provides amazing support.
