Nathalie Clark

Nathalie joined Capital One Canada (Branch) in 2014 and is currently the Chief Operating Officer (COO).

As the COO, she is accountable for delivering effortless customer experiences through all operations functions (including call centers, loss mitigation, business risk office, customer fulfilment, lean/agile strategy and operation analytics).

Nathalie provides the leadership and vision necessary to ensure that the company has the proper operational controls, reporting procedures, systems, and people in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency. Capital One offers cards for every Canadian, including market-leading rewards cards, and credit cards for the Hudson’s Bay Company and Costco Wholesale.

Before becoming Chief Operating Officer, Nathalie was Vice President and General Counsel. In this role, she was responsible for the overall delivery of legal services for Capital One’s Canadian business in addition to having responsibility for government relations.

Prior to joining Capital One, she was General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for the Canadian Bankers Association (CBA). As part of the executive team, Nathalie acted as the lead legal advisor for the CBA and was responsible for coordinating the delivery of legal services for the Association. She also supervised the management of the Fraud & Security Division and the CBA’s Quebec Office and was responsible for the management of the CBA’s Consumer Affairs Policy team.

Passionate about community involvement, Nathalie is Capital One Canada’s Accountable Executive for Corporate Social Responsibility. She is also a Director on the Board of Women in Capital Markets.

Nathalie graduated from the University of Ottawa with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil law and University of Toronto with a Bachelor’s Degree in Common Law. She also obtained her Master’s Degree in Law from Sherbrook University. Nathalie is a member of both the Quebec and Ontario Bar and is a graduate of the Leadership Executive program at the Rotman School of Management.
